Auburn Municipal Civil Service
Special Meeting – 11/13/2003 Minutes
Chairman Welch called the meeting to order at 11:00 am. Sec. Fulton took the roll. Present was
Comm. Welch and Comm. Camardo and Comm. Brennan. Also present was John Salomone, City Manager and the Police Chief , Gary Giannotta.
Old Business Police Department
Discussion continued about the upcoming Police Chief and Deputy Police Chief exams. After meeting with Mary Carli, New York State Civil Service consultant, the Commission has decided not to hold those exams at the present time. A letter will be sent to rescind the request for the exams. Motion to rescind the exams made by Comm. Welch. Seconded by Comm. Brennan. Motion carried 2-1 as Comm. Camardo voted not to rescind the request for the exams as it has been the Commission’s policy in the past to have updated lists for every title.
Discussion of Bruce Ross and his title to be discussed at the December 4, 2003 meeting.
New Business
Review the roster and establish the eligible list for # 75-147 promotional exam for Registrar of Vital Statistics. Motion to establish list made by Comm. Brennan and seconded by Comm. Camardo. Motion carried 3-0.
Motion to adjourn made by Comm. Camardo, seconded by Comm. Welch, Meeting adjourned at 11:30 am.
